Tips in staging a large artwork in your home

A large piece of artwork commands attention and sets the tone, personality, and the overall feeling of the space. Here are some helpful tips to make it work.

  1. The artwork should compliment the style of the home – if there is no particular target buyer, then stick with abstract pieces like landscape, flowers, etc.
  2. To make the space more catching, repeat the colors of the space with the artwork to add a big visual impact to buyers. Also, it would be ideal to hang the artwork near furniture.

3. Size of the artwork depends on a lot of elements like: size of the wall or the furniture it will be hung. Make sure that it is proportionate to each other. A large piece of artwork should be hung on the largest wall that is most visible when someone comes in the room. Above the couch, bed, back wall of a dining room or the grand entry way creates a big impression and is where large artwork are popularly staged.
