Dogs on Deployment promotes responsible, life long pet ownership .They advocate for military pet owner rights, provide educational resources and grant financial assistance for military pet owners during times of emergency.  To date, they have placed 500 dogs in temporary foster homes and have awarded $300,000 to military families in need. Dogs on Deployment partners with local rescue organizations and encourages people to adopt from a local pet rescue or shelter. If a surrender is needed, they encourage the pet owner to surrender to the same.
